This is a live recording of David's Hendrix tribute band Purple Blaze playing a house party in Santa Monica, CA on 8/3/88. Rock Candy is not a Hendrix song: it’s a Montrose song, and this was an instrumental jam during sound check. None of the musicians had played Rock Candy prior to this moment.
